The raised portion of the unit which is accessed via a hinged ladder in the floor, provides your hens with a secure area where they can sleep and lay, safe from the risks of predation.
The gable end of the upper part of the Grange Poultry Ark in which the nest box is housed, has an integrated removable panel that allows quick and easy access for egg collection purposes. The nest box can also be closed off to prevent perching birds fouling the area during the night.
When it comes to housekeeping, the Cherry Acres range is easily maintained. Access to the entire upper floor, including the nest box, is gained via a full length, removable side panel. Send your chickens down to the run, raise the ladder and the area can be cleaned thoroughly while they are left free to run around below.
